Zscaler Member Spotlight: Meet Dominic Pelletrino
Dominic Pelletrino, Global Partner Enablement Lead at Zscaler steps into the Zenith Community spotlight for February and we are excited to share his story!
Dominic has been with Zscaler since 02-2021 and has been active in the Zenith Community since 11-2022. Dominic is currently serving on the Partner Enablement team, working on enablement programs, courses and events for Zscaler’s internal Channel organization, along with externally facing webinars for our channel partners.

Q. What made you originally join Zscaler, and what has your career path looked like while at Zscaler?
I learned about Zscaler while working for a competitor and when the chance to work for Zscaler came my way, I jumped at the opportunity! I’ve worked in and around the channel partner community since my career in the industry began in 1999. Getting to work with technology alliance partners has rounded out my partner experience and has increased my ability to enable our field teams on our partner ecosystem.
Q. Tell us about your family.
I am a very proud father of three and grandfather of three with a bonus grandson! My wife and I are enjoying our adult children, our preteen son and all the babies! They keep us super busy, all the time!!
Q. What are some life achievements that you are proud of?
Aside from my family, which I consider my greatest accomplishment in life, I’ve had many professional accomplishments I’m proud of. Most recently, I made a bit of a career change in moving from Channel Sales to Sales Enablement and I’m really pleased with how far I’ve come. From hosting Zscaler’s Partner-Facing Webinars, to traveling around the Globe to helping deliver SKO, to developing and delivering onboarding to our channel sales professionals, I could not have imagined a more rewarding journey.
Q. Tell us about your organization. (specifically, your department/team)
I work within our Partner Enablement team where we develop external training and tools for our channel partners. We’re also tasked with enabling the internal partner ecosystem, globally. Given Zscaler’s commitment to our channel partners, it’s a great feeling to play a role in the success of our external partners and our internal partner organizations. We love all our partners!
Q. What is a typical day in your life?
My typical day starts the night before. I do a quick calendar check to ensure I’m fully prepared to start my day. Working in a global position sometimes requires me to attend meetings and events outside of my normal working hours. I also do a quick scan of email for anything urgent. When I start my day, I’m typically in meetings until lunch time and do the best I can to establish focus time in the afternoon to stay on task with projects I’m working on. The middle of the week is usually really busy with internal and external training and Friday is the best time to get caught up on anything that may have fallen behind.
Q. How did you grow your career and what advice would you give to people looking to forge ahead on the same path? What are essential skills to develop?
Funny, when I look back at my resume it looks like a well-planned career path but in reality, there were many twists and turns, ups and downs and uncertainties. My advice to anyone is to take that role that seems too big for you, step outside your comfort zone and believe in yourself. What do you have to lose?
Build long term relationships and surround yourself with like minded people. Professional relationships always seem to come back around. You really never know when that coworker in the cubicle next to you will be instrumental in your career!
Q. Why do you feel the Zenith Community is important for not only customers, but for other Zscaler employees?
The Zenith community is important for customers, partners and employees, as it is an open forum for knowledge sharing. Everyone uses online forums for information in one form or another and the Zenith Community is a tremendous asset to anyone looking for more information about Zscaler.
Q. What is/are your favorite hobby(ies)
I am an avid gardener and I’ve loved growing plants of all kinds since high school. I continue to be fascinated by how a really tiny seed could be placed in the ground, cared for, and will produce food to eat or beautiful flowers and other wonderful plants that have an effect on all the living things around it. Outside of gardening, I enjoy mountain biking, disc golf, grilling on the Green Egg and playing Pokemon Go!!
Q. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I love all sorts of food and it would be really difficult to pick one. And while I want to say Sushi, or Filet Mignon, or seafood, I would probably choose leafy greens like romaine. I eat salad everyday and I can grow it myself!!
