Trust Levels and Private Messages
The Zenith Community uses a system of Trust Levels that provide additional functionality in the community. One of these features is the ability to send private messages.
When you first join you are at Trust Level 0. As you read posts your time, topic, and post counts accumulate. You will be automatically promoted to Trust Level 1 and gain the ability to send private messages once you’ve done enough reading.
You can get to Trust Level 1 by:
- Entering at least 5 topics
- Reading at least 30 posts
- Spend a total of 10 minutes reading posts
Reading Private Messages
The messages functionality is contained in your user profile. If you have a private message waiting you will receive a notification bubble on your avatar.
To access your messages click your avatar and then the envelope icon.
Starting a new message
Click on the envelope icon above a second time and you will be taken to your inbox. Use the new message button on that screen to compose a new message. You can add more than one user if needed, but you need to know their user names.
