The compass is broken when it comes to modern network security - Why TIC 3.0 offers a more flexible approach

The compass is broken when it comes to modern network security - Why TIC 3.0 offers a more flexible approach

This session is from Zenith Live 2020:

Traditional compass-based north/south and east/west data-traffic cardinalities have become less relevant for today’s federal agency network infrastructures. To support the new (federal) way of work, policies like CISA’s TIC 3.0 provide agencies with a framework and flexibility to employ modern security techniques for secure internet access over trusted connections. Yet many agencies retain archaic security frameworks, prioritizing legacy data-center security over access security in a distributed architecture. In this session, we’ll discuss how TIC 3.0 enables agencies to look beyond an outdated compass metaphor to secure connectivity for a mobile- and cloud-first world.
