Zscaler App Connector - "Downloaded metadata does not match any binary we already have"

Hello,

When implementing the App Connector using ova template to vSphere environment every time I encounter problem like below with zpa-connector-child process:

Feb 01 11:50:44 zpa-connector zpa-connector[1516]: zpa-connector: starting, version 20.20.4
Feb 01 11:50:44 zpa-connector zpa-connector[1516]: SSL version: OpenSSL 1.0.2o-fips 27 Mar 2018
Feb 01 11:50:44 zpa-connector zpa-connector[1516]: Libevent version: 2.1.8-stable
Feb 01 11:50:44 zpa-connector zpa-connector[1516]: No modifications to thread pools present
Feb 01 11:50:44 zpa-connector zpa-connector[1516]: zscaler-update: Fetching from dist.private.zscaler.com via zpa-updates.prod.zpath.net
Feb 01 11:50:44 zpa-connector zpa-connector[1516]: Resolution completed for host(zpa-updates.prod.zpath.net) sni(dist.private.zscaler.com)
Feb 01 11:50:45 zpa-connector zpa-connector[1516]: zscaler-update: Successfully fetched metadata from </dist/zpa-connector-child.el7.x86_64.default.meta>
Feb 01 11:50:45 zpa-connector zpa-connector[1516]: zscaler-update: Downloaded metadata does not match any binary we already have.

After a few days to a week it starts to work properly (properly enroll). Do you know where problem is and how to workaround this issue?

The user account “zscaler” has read access to /etc/resolv.conf
The user account “zscaler” has write access to /opt/zscaler/var

Hello Sebastian,

Please file a support ticket and share journalctl -u zpa-connector output along with time stamp/s when the issue was seen for investigation.

Shujaat
