Adobe "Creative Cloud Installer" can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software

We have seen this error message a few times on Mac devices. The current work around is to temporarily disabled Zscaler Internet Security, have the user download and install Adobe Creative Suite then re-enable Internet Security.

Has anyone seen/experienced this issue?

I have one of the customer experience this on zoom app

Click OK, go to Apple Menu, Security & Privacy, on the General tab there should be a section at the bottom to click “Allow or Open” to open the Adobe installer.

Yup, but why does this happen is the question.

Mac OS cannot verify if the file is safe, so it generates this message. If you are confident that the software is safe and from a reliable source, you can bypass this error message by doing the following.

If you encounter the following Mac OS error when trying to install software: “can’t be opened. because Apple cannot check it for malicious software. This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information”

Then do the following: Open Finder, click downloads folder, right click the install package file, click open, and then click open again when the same above error message appears. The install should start. If prompted, click on Security & Privacy settings in order to allow extensions for the software you are trying to install.
