RDP / SSH using browser access

Are there any plans to support RDP over Browser Access? Essentially emulate a RDP session using browser access. This is pretty commonly supported on SSLVPN solutions.

Also the same question for SSH.

Paul, this enhancement is on the ZPA roadmap. It is being tracked by ER-4800.

That is exactly what we ended up doing.

I spent some time this weekend setting up a Guacamole Server to do just this.

" Apache Guacamole is a clientless remote desktop gateway . It supports standard protocols like VNC, RDP, and SSH.

We call it clientless because no plugins or client software are required.

Thanks to HTML5, once Guacamole is installed on a server, all you need to access your desktops is a web browser."

It would be nice if this was part of the Zscaler ecosystem but it isn’t today.

It is doable though, especially now that there is a turnkey easy to run OVA and you don’t have to build or install it from scratch. See attached for how I set this up.

Guacamole RDP-VNC over HTML5 Server Set up for ZPA_pub.pdf (2.8 MB)

Yes we set this same setup up due to the covid-19 influx of VPN requests and really the employees only needed to RDP into their workstations. This solution worked very well for us.
